Mission & Values
We exist to make and mature followers of Jesus Christ by doing life together.
(Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:42-47)
Our values are:
TRUTH over TRENDS
God's Word is our standard for what we believe and how we make decisions.
PEOPLE over PROGRAMS
People are more important than programs. We want to see people move from lostness to leadership.
PURSUIT over PASSIVITY
Lost people matter to God so they have to matter to us.
SERVING over SITTING
You were saved to serve. God has gifted every Christ follower and expects them to use those gifts for the benefit of the church.
GIVING over GETTING
Our salvation is about a costly gift offered to us. Because of that, we are motivated to live generous lives.
WE over ME
In our decisions, we value the body over the individual preferences.
GREAT over GOOD
Good is the enemy of great. Our desire is to excel in all that we do.
What We Believe
About the Bible
We believe that the entirety of the Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God, without any mixture of error in matters of doctrine, science, history, archeology, and prophecy. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation. We fully support the The Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
About God
We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. We believe that Jesus Christ, the second member of the Trinity, came into the world through the incarnation, as Savior to die a substitutionary death so that all who place their faith in Him would not suffer the wrath of God, but receive everlasting life.
About Mankind
We believe that mankind was created in the image of God to have uninhibited fellowship with Him, but became alienated from God through willful rebellion against Him. As a result, sin entered into the human race, and all people have subsequently been born with a sinful nature that is rebellious toward God. As a result, the hearts of people are naturally depraved and dead to the things of God. Thus, mankind is unable to save itself and is in need of a radical transformation of the heart through the work of the Holy Spirit.
About Salvation
We believe that the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ upon the cross is the sole means through which one can receive the forgiveness of sins. We believe that a person cannot save themselves through their own good works. Mankind has been separated from God because of sin. Salvation is a change of heart wrought by the Holy Spirit through conviction of sin, to which the sinner responds in repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Repentance and faith are inseparable experiences of grace.
About the Christian Life
We believe that every Christian should live a life of sacrifice and obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ rather than for oneself. To be a Christian is to be one who follows Christ. The new believer grows stronger in their new life through the reading of and obedience to God’s Word, serving in ministry, and through fellowship with fellow believers.
